Pay-To-Throw Program, Disposal & Recycling Information:
The Town of Eliot began a six month trial period of the Pay-To-Throw System at the Transfer Station on September 3, 2013. Because the program proved to be a significant cost savings to the Town, the Board of Selectmen implemented the program on a full time basis in April of 2014.
The Solid Waste / Recycling Committee held three informational meetings between July and September of 2013 discussing the new program and giving residents the opportunity to learn how Pay-To-Throw will work.
If you were unable to attend one of the information sessions being offered or you would just like to review the information again, the power point presentation as well as informational flyers on recycling and composting are posted below for your convenience.
