Given the recent legislative override of the Governor’s veto, and the legislation requiring a town to “opt-in” if they plan to sell retail, recreational marijuana. We are not considering allowing sale of retail marijuana in Eliot, so I called the MMA attorney who was “confident” that there was no longer a valid reason for Eliot to consider extending a moratorium. Saturday’s special meeting at 11 am is therefore cancelled – confirmed after conferring with the SB Chair.
