Absentee Voting

Applications for Absentee Ballots for the July 14th State,Town, & MSAD #35 Elections Now Being Accepted ~ Vote Safe & File Your Application Today!

Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the election will need to be held with strong social distancing practices.  Because of the safety measures we will need to facilitate to ensure a safe voting place for our voters and election staff, wait times for voting will be increased.  Because of this, we are strongly encouraging our residents to consider voting by absentee ballot for the safety of everyone.  Ballots will be available on or about June 15th, however: you can request a ballot now by one of the following methods and ballots will be mailed to you once they become available:

Voted ballots can be returned in the pre-addressed envelope provided to the Town Office by mail (we will provide instructions and the amount of postage needed) or they can be deposited in the secure drop box located on the front left corner of the Town Office.

Please Note: Due to the postponment of the elections from June to July and the extreme situation of COVID-19 there will not be a deadline to request an absentee ballot

State Primary Election Reminders:  To receive a primary ballot you must be enrolled in either the Democratic, Green Independent, or Republican Party.    Voters that are not currently enrolled in a party may enroll anytime prior to the election at the Town Clerk's Office or on Election Day at the Registrar Table prior to receiving ballots.

For additional information contact the staff in the Clerk's Office at 207-439-1817.
