The Town will soon be working with Gorrill-Palmer Engineering and Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission to conduct a study of several issues on Route 236 from Beech road to the South Berwick Town Line. A very similar study was done last year on Kittery’s portion of Rte. 236 up to Beech Road in Eliot.
The study will look at traffic flow issues, access and egress to lots on Rte. 236, turning problems / danger areas, possibly a center turning lane, and other issues.
The Town’s TIF Committee felt it would be wise to ask frequent users of Rte. 236 to identify the things they view as problematic or dangerous.
If you would like to share your thoughts and ideas, please email the Town Manager, Dana Lee, at [email protected]. We will be accepting comments through the end of May.
