The Eliot Historical Society meets on April 8th at the John F. Hill Grange Hall, State Road beginning at 7pm.
April Program:  “CEMETERY 101  --  People are just dying to get in”

Paul Johnson has been the Superintendent of Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Eliot for the past 6 years.  He will discuss the duties and responsibilities of a cemetery Superintendent as well as, the basics and  the inner workings of a cemetery.  He will tell you about the history of Mount Pleasant Cemetery and will also show the business strategy of a cemetery operation. You will find this presentation fascinating as most of us do not think twice about the details of a cemetery.   Come and hear some of the humorous and bizarre stories that Paul has experienced over the years.

All are welcome.  The program is Free and refreshments will be served.
