Press Release 03/24/2020: Meeting Procedural Change Due to COVID-19
The Town of Eliot will be holding the Citizen Option Meeting / Public Hearing on Monday, March 30, 2020 at the Town Office in Eliot, located at 1333 State Road, Eliot, ME.
This meeting must be held due to the Town of Eliot’s Referendum Town Meeting Ordinance requirements as well as the strict timeline we must follow for town election preparation.
Governor Mills has strongly urged the citizens of Maine to implement strict social distancing measures, which includes the prohibition of meetings and functions with more than 10 people in attendance, therefore we are encouraging residents to not attend but instead review the Citizen Option Meeting / Public Hearing Agenda in advance of the meeting, see agenda attached below this statement. If you have questions prior to the meeting please send by email or phone message to Dana Lee, Town Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org or 439-1817 X107. Your questions will be answered in a timely manner. If you do not have access to a computer you can call 439-1817 X100 leave a message and a citizen option agenda will be mailed to you if time allows.
The Citizen Option Meeting / Public Hearing will be live streamed for viewing, you can access the video on the town’s website at www.eliotmaine.org, home page, and click on meeting videos. If you have questions on any article on the agenda during the live video stream of the Citizen Option Meeting / Public Hearing on March 30th you can call into the meeting room phone at 439-1817 X114 or send an email to the Town Manager at email@example.com which will be monitored real time and read into the record.
We want to promote public participation, but at a safe distance to follow the recommendations of Governor Mills and the Maine CDC to keep or residents, staff and their families safe.

State Primary Election Reminders: To receive a primary ballot you must be enrolled in either the Democratic, Green Independent, or Republican Party. Voters that are not currently enrolled in a party may enroll any time prior to the election at the Town Clerk's Office or on Election Day at the Registrar Table prior to receiving ballots.
